Citrix on the iPhone - 1st half 2009?

If you are like me and own an iPhone and have access to all of your applications through a  Citrix server, this is very exciting news.  According to Chris Fleck's recently updated iPhone blog,

"Yes, we are listening, and yes we are going to ship a Citrix App Receiver client for the iPhone ! Mark Templeton demonstrated our latest internal build at our Summit event last week and our partners gave us the same enthusiastic response as we are seeing here on the Blogs. Right now the schedule ship schedule is first half of '09 , but keep those votes and use cases coming and help us increase the priority further ! "

Virtual Office CS - Citrix Beta and VO Scan

I just wanted to write a quick post for those of you using Thomson Tax and Accounting's Virtual Office CS.  For the past month, I have been using the newest Beta version of the Citrix client to run my Virtual Office CS apps with great success.  I recently updated all of our workstations to do the same.  I have also updated to the new VO scan (which was written by Thomson Tax and Accounting) and I would recommend updating to it as well.  It seems recently some of our workstations were having problems opening Filecabinet CS.  By updating the Citrix and VO scan, the problems have been fixed.    As mentioned in a previous post, the Beta Citrix client also fixes some issues running Citrix clients in Vista.  I have also been very pleased with the performance and stability in XP. 

The link to VO scan can be found in your portal.  The Citrix client can be found at Citrix Xenapp 11.00 Beta.  I have been installing the Web Plugin version.   Make sure you uninstall any old Remote-scan and Citrix apps before proceeding with the new installations.
